We are now the first and only shop carrying Prairie Boys Supply Co. in Newfoundland. If you have been looking for a Canadian-made grooming line that is actually built by barbers, for barbers, this is the one we picked - and we picked it carefully.
Prairie Boys Supply Co. is made in Edmonton, Alberta. Every product is small-batch, and the brand is built around the same idea we built this studio around: skip the filler, get the formula right, and stand behind it. That is a Canadian-made, quality-first brand, not a mass import with a maple leaf stuck on the label.
Here is what is on the shelf now, and why it earned a spot there.
PBSCo. Clay Pomade gives you a firm, matte hold for texture and disheveled styles. It is water re-activatable, which means a damp comb-through can revive the style mid-day without starting over. If your hair needs to look like you did not try too hard, this is the one.
PBSCo. Matte Pomade is the medium-hold option for anyone who wants a clean, natural finish without any shine. Same water-soluble formula as the clay, just a softer hold for everyday styling rather than a strong texture look.
PBSCo. Texture Powder is the fastest way to add volume and grip at the root, especially if your hair is fine or falls flat by midday. A light puff at the crown does more work than people expect, and you can always add more for a stronger hold.
PBSCo. Sea Salt Spray is for the lived-in, just-back-from-the-coast look. Mist it onto towel-dried hair and either blow it out for volume or let it air-dry for something more natural. Good for hair that is a little longer or already has some wave to it.
PBSCo. Vitamin E Beard Rinse replaces a regular beard shampoo with something built specifically for facial hair - it cleans without stripping the natural oils your beard actually needs, which matters more here than people realize given how much salt air and wind your skin takes on the Avalon.
PBSCo. Perfecting Beard Oil is the one we hand most people leaving the chair after a beard service. It conditions and softens at any beard length, and it pairs well with a balm if you are growing it out and need some shape control too.
None of this is about chasing trends. We stock what we would actually use ourselves, and Prairie Boys Supply Co. earned the shelf space the same way everything else in this studio did - by being good enough that we are willing to put our name next to it.
Stop in and see the full lineup, or check out the shop. First in the province to carry it - might as well be the easiest place in St. John's to grab it.
